Update: 1 December 2017
Editor Juli Vizza is joining us for our last couple of weeks of editing. Juli, who really gets it, is helping to put finishing touches on the visual sequences, and is cutting in new animations, graphic sequences, and archival footage and stills as they trickle in. Will Fritch continues to work on the score.
SO WHEN IS THE MOVIE GOING TO BE DONE, ALREADY, you ask? We are getting there, truly. In January 2018, we have a date with crack sound engineer Jim LeBrecht to smooth out ten years of uneven levels. Next, also in January, is our online editing session, where we’ll fix all the technical glitches, correct the colors, add closed captioning, and otherwise get ready for festivals, theatrical screenings, and eventual broadcast. We don’t yet have a date for broadcast, but will share it as soon as we do.
It’s chapter by chapter around here. Thanks as always for turning the pages with us.

Kickstarter Project (concluded)
Worlds of Ursula K. Le Guin, the first feature documentary about Ursula K. Le Guin, is in progress. To complete the National Endowment for the Humanities’ $600,000 grant to the project, producer/director Arwen Curry turned to a Kickstarter campaign to raise $80,000. That goal was met in three days. By the end of the month the campaign had brought in over $234,000 in pledges.
Look for the completed film in 2017. And THANKS to all contributors!!!
Since 2008, they have filmed dozens of hours with Ms. Le Guin in some of the spectacular real-life places that inspired her fantastical worlds.
