Kesh Musicians at Mythcon XIX

Kesh Musicians

Mythcon XIX, 1988

At Mythcon XIX, in Berkeley, in 1988, a group of very brave people performed the Kesh dance-masque "The Plumed Water," from the text in my Always Coming Home. This picture is of the musicians. The drummer, wearing typical Kesh clothing, is the poet Ire of Sinshan. The player of the houmbuta or great horn is the famous composer, instrument-maker, and performer Tabit of Ashland.

If anyone can tell me the names of the singers, one of whom holds a darbagatush or handhitter, I will happily include them in this caption. The picture was taken, and given to us, by Brian Attebery of Pocatello.
